The Millennium Café is run by chef Tricia Peterson of 2Chefs Catering. She and her staff greet guests to the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee and cappuccinos, scrumptious breakfast offerings, fresh bakery goods, including the scone of the day. For dine in or take out, daily specials are perfect for lunch with friends or family suppers, especially those served with dreamy, mashed potatoes or a Philly cheese steak sandwich, with or without onions!

When you need a snack to go with your best-selling novel, ask for a slice of Tricia’s cheesecake, it’s her own special recipe! Cookies, brownies, pound cake and the cake of the day will sweeten this visit or you can order ahead and take dessert home for special guests this holiday season.

Half a Turkey Club Sandwich - wheatberry bread, smoked turkey, bacon, Swiss cheese, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato, grilled to order. Comes with 8 oz, skim milk, choice of whole fruit and a side of vegetable of the day.

Half a Tuna Salad Sandwich - wheatberry bread, house-made tuna salad, lettuce and tomato. Comes with 8 oz, skim milk, choice of whole fruit and a side of vegetable of the day.

Cup of vegetable beef soup - Comes with 8 oz, skim milk, choice of whole fruit and a slice of wheatberry bread.

Quiche of the day: flavors change daily. - Comes with 8 oz, skim milk, choice of whole fruit and a side of vegetable of the day.

About the Program

CHAMPSS (Choosing Healthy Appetizing Meal Plan Solutions for Seniors) allows those age 60 and older to choose from different entrees and eat at their convenience seven days a week at CHAMPSS locations throughout Shawnee, Jefferson, and Douglas counties. This program is for active persons who are not home bound and can go to the CHAMPSS site to eat their meals. Participants must complete an orientation and submit a registration packet to enroll in the program. Participants are also encouraged to make the suggested donation of $3.50 per meal. No one is denied a meal if they are unable to donate.
