Melanie Gideon’s midlife crisis, honestly depicted in the pages of The Slippery Year, is hilarious. One day, she realizes that she has been sleepwalking through life. In her words, “I felt empty – an unrelenting, existential king of emptiness. It has been some time since someone has asked for a recipe, but we received a request for some vegan recipes. Vegan recipes do not use animal products of any kind. The first recipe is for a split pea soup that is nutritious and healthy.
Split Pea Soup
Ingredients:

6-8 cups vegetable stock

Sharon's books were being read in English classes across Shawnee County in readiness for Ms Draper's visit.
