Message: It Involved Hard Work By Sergei Dahlman avatar Lewis Carroll Technology is an integral part of today’s world. Through my involvement with second life, I have discovered how to enjoy homework on a computer. I have a strong dislike for computers. I am a slow typer. Learning about Second Life has improved my typing skills. I learned the other side of the keyboard. I learned new types of interior designing and building. We have a large demand for new technology and maybe someday we will use Second Life to discover ways to build buildings. I have learned what a script was and an avatar. Something that I thought was stupid. It may look like just a computer game but it involved hard work, creative thinking and money. Yes it was very expensive, but we didn’t pay a single cent. The library has provided us with everything to make this possible. It is great to know that the library is as excited as we were to gets this project started, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. By Lewis Carroll was the theme of our Island. We have created a surreal version of the story. Wow what an accomplishment. Besides all the pros there are the Con’s. We had to struggle with slow computers. When things go wrong tempers are high and frustration is even higher. I could almost scream when I spent all morning building a decent courthouse outdoors. You get behind the computer and it’s like zap its time to go. Animation should be more contagious. Second life is the best way for teens to get the educational video game. I am leaving something out though. Two women Stacy Fox and Jean Gardner were the core of this project and they really helped us a bunch. Without there help we could not of done this project, and what boring thing would we be doing otherwise? http://www.tscpl.org/teens/comments/it_involved_hard_work/
