In the book What my Girlfriend Doesn't Know by Sonya Sones, the story of high school freshmen Sophia and Robin continues from the book What My Mother Doesn't Know.  Luckily, you don't have to have read the first book to really enjoy this one. You’ll find out right away all you need to know – Sophia and Robin have been dating for two weeks over winter break. At school, Sophia is pretty and popular, while Robin is an unpopular outcast.  Can either of them, or their relationship, survive their classmates and (former) friends once they are back at school?

Written in free verse (non-rhyming poetry), this book is a very fast read. Sonya Sones does an incredible job of capturing Robin's feelings about Sophia, about life, and about being a fourteen year old boy. I highly recommend anything by Sonya Sones – she is a terrific writer!
