Twilight attracts fans like blood attracts vampires

Millions of fans stormed theaters over the weekend to see their favorite literary vampires on the big screen. Twilight, the movie based on the popular YA book by Stephenie Meyer, was the highest earning movie at the weekend box office. It's estimated that Twilight made $70.6 million gross for its debut, which makes it the fourth biggest debut of the year. Click here for the full box office report.

If you saw the movie, what did you think? Did the scenes play out like you pictured in your mind? I thought they did a great job condensing the lengthy book onto film, especially since a lot of pages are just Bella's thoughts and feelings. The setting was also beautiful and perfectly gloomy. I thought the movie was okay. It wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. They took out some scenes and had some different. But what book to movie doesn’t? The movie was cheesy, with the awkward silences and the looks. However it was bearable and good. Wasn’t completely horrible.

I thought terrific movie. Many times in 2008 I walked out of the theatres completely disappointed. I’m not sure what’s happened but overall the quality of movies is weak. I sure hope that 2009 things really really turn around.

I LOVED THE TWILIGHT MOVIE SO MUCH.AS I WAS WATCHING THE MOVIE I JUST FELL IN LOVE W/ THE CAST BUT MOSTLY EDWARD & BELLA.
