The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 movie, which is based on the popular book series by Ann Brashares, will hit theaters on August 8. The books and movies follow four life-long friends as they grow up and strike out on their own. The girls experience lots of heartbreak and joy, but never lose the the support and strength of their sisterhood. The books had me laughing, crying, and calling my close friends to tell them how much I love them, and it looks like the movie will probably have the same effect!

From the trailer, it looks to me like the movie will be mostly based on the fourth book of the series, Forever in Blue. If you've read the books, do you recognize any of the moments in the preview? Are you as excited about this movie as I am?

I loved the first movie and the first few books, but this preview makes me realize that I must not have read the fourth book yet—time to get busy so I can get it read before the movie comes out!
