Where can I access Teen Second Life?
At home. You need broadband and a good graphics card.
At the library in the Edge or the Homework center.
At the library during Second Lifers Club in the Edge, 1st & 3rd Mondays of each month

How do I get the Second Life software on my computer?
Go to www.teen.secondlife.com. Download the software. Downloading places a Second Life hand icon on your computer’s desktop or in the Second Life folder.

How do I log-on after downloading the software?
Click the hand icon on your computer’s desktop.
Enter avatar’s first name, last name and password (as on application for Oz Island) or follow the steps for free teen gird avatar

How do I change my appearance?
Right click on your avatar, a pie chart appears. Right click on appearance Your Avatar will turn around An appearance table will appear. Good Luck.

How do I get clothes and props?
Make them Good Luck! Fly to the Bizarre Bazaar of Oz in the southeast corner. Look for the sign. Locate color boxes Each box has a floating title that tells what is in the box Left click a box that has items you are interested in. You will receive a message in the upper right corner that reads: “An object named “wings” owned by Jean OzIslander has given you a folder named “wings”. Keep the folder. Go to and click the inventory tab on the bottom right of your screen. Click the recent items tab in the pop up window Open folder – see all the goodies. Drag the item (“red wings”) you want onto your avatar.

What if I need help creating a unique attire for my avatar?
Google: You tube Second Life with phrases such as clothing.

How do I take a snapshot?
Click Snapshot - the third tab from the left at the bottom of the screen. Chose save to hard drive – in the pop-up window Name the snapshot your avatar’s name. (i.e.Jean OzIlsander ) Click Save Additional snapshot will automatically be named Jean OzIslander 002, Jean OzIslander 003 etc.

How do I get my avatar to face me?
Hold down the alt & arrow key Release at the desired pose.
