Twelve students from Marburg, Germany participated in an exchange program with Seaman High School's German program. Sebastian Sohl, their math and science teacher, has been impressed with the planning and hospitality of the Seaman community. He said, "The people are so warm-hearted and welcoming."
The students visited the Statehouse, Washburn University, The University of Kansas and places in Kansas City. Lucy Bischofsberger, 15, enjoyed Seaman the most of all their visits. Lucy said, "I love the school. It's so different from out school in Germany. The marching band is cool. We don't have anything like that at our school."
Allie DiDio, 16, and her family were a host family for Lucy since she arrived Oct 3. Allie took Lucy to Sonic for a slushy and was surprised Lucy was unfamiliar with slushies. Read more.
