Have you ever ventured into the Red Carpet Room at the library and wondered what that video collection on the wall was? Or maybe you asked why those films are not stored over in the Media Center with the other movies? Well, those VHS tapes are the library's Descriptive Video Collection. Descriptive videos make watching movies and tv shows more accessible to people who are blind or visually impaired by offering extra narration of the major visual elements occurring in the videos....

Are you or someone in your family living with low vision? If so, magnifiers and other assistive devices may help you or your loved one perform everyday activities that can be hindered by low vision. Finding the right device for an individual's specific needs, however, can be difficult. That's why the library offers a variety of magnifiers and devices to use on site or checkout.
