The doughnut hole refers to a coverage gap within the defined standard benefit under the Medicare Part D prescription drug program. Under the defined standard benefit package, there is a gap in coverage...

The Edible Book Festival asks you to interpret a book with food, similar to the way a sculptor shapes real-life objects out of clay. You can be literal, conceptual, obvious, thought-provoking, silly, serious—whatever—it's your book and your imagination at work.

Your 2009 Topeka First Friday map is now available. Simply click the image of the map seen below and print from any computer.
The maps are both color and number coded, so it isn't essential you print them in color. However, color makes it easier to see Topeka's growing clusters of art hotspots at a glance.
If yours is a new venue and you'd like to be added, or is a current venue and would like your contact information changed, email me (Heather) at hkearns@tscpl.org....

The writer/producer/director, K. Ryan Jones, made this striking film as an assignment for a film class at the University of Kansas, not knowing just how far his subjects would take him. Jones tells the story, or rather allows Fred Phelps and the rest of his family to tell the story, of the...

... Today was fun. I got to hang out with cool people and talk about art and build eye muscles.
When we discuss what we see, what an artist might be trying to say and consider the techniques they're using, we become better tour guides, docents and art professionals for YOU. Below are pictures from our travel log.
