My reading lately hasn't lead me to anything too spectacular...but here's what I have read and what I thought of my reads:



The Trophy Wives Club by Kristen Billerbeck

Reading about pedicures, fashion, fancy cars, and the other accrutements of a rich California lifestyle were what made this one a fun read for me.  Haley was a "trophy wife"--wooed and courted by a rich hollywood producer and married by the time she was 20. So when he dumps her for an up and coming actress...

Here's what I've been reading...and what I thought of my reads.

Fairest (Audio CD) by Gail Carson Levine

This is one of the gems of our audiobook collection, a book that is truly enhanced by being turned into an audio performance.  The story is loosely based on "Snow White", but in this modern version the heroine Aza is an "ugly" child who was adopted by innkeepers.   While she is constantly looked down upon because of her looks, one thing she does have going for her is...

My favorite thing about this book is...the book, even though fiction, has been very well researched to the time, place and happening as in the Bible and is easy to read and creates pictures in your head
