Welcome to the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library

Support Your Library

Our community has three great ways to support the library.

Volunteer opportunities are available for everyone from teens to senior citizens. Some positions may require special training, which the Library will provide for qualified applicants.

Friends of the Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library raise money to support library programs for children and adults. The Friends organize the annual Booksale each September and also operate the Booktique at the library, selling gift merchandise and used books. Members of the Friends receive a subscription to the library’s monthly magazine ConnectNow.

There are few places in Topeka where a charitable gift has the potential to touch so many lives. Gifts of all kinds to The Library Foundation will be gratefully considered and are deductible for personal or corporate tax purposes to the fullest extent of the law.
