Kansas author Janice Haney will discuss her books Greensburg: The Twisted Tales I and II. Writers from age 8 to 82… from horror to hope…survivors tell their incredible stories so that you can feel it and see it in your own mind! A book signing will follow. May 4, 2007 saw the destruction of 95% of the town of Greensburg in Kiowa County, Kansas.  1,500 residents were displaced by an EF-5 tornado the highest rating on the Enhanced Fujita Scale.  The tornado's winds were over 300 mile per hour; the base of the tornado was 1.7 miles wide. With a 20-minute forewarning, most residents reached safety. Out of 1,300 homes, 961 were destroyed.  This book shares the experiences of the survivors, in their own words.
