Here is an experience Jeanette, one of our Red Carpet patrons, had a little while ago; told as only she can.
I don't know about you, but my kids know Sunday night is Popcorn Night here. Saturday we went up to Valley to join Kelcie and Tyler to pick mulberries and fish. We ran into Petro on the highway to fill their truck with gas, get a cola, and I saw these bags of carmel, cinnamon, and cheese popcorn. So I bought them, asked for a paper bag, and opened all three bags and dumped them in and shook it. That's my favorite popcorn mixture. We all enjoyed eating them to and from the picking. I left half of what we had left with them saving enough for me and Grandpa, a nice serving bowl full for Sunday night. I was tempted to put them in plastic but was afraid they'd get soggy so I left them in the paper sack. Sunday night when we tried to eat them they were so chewy and stuck to our teeth so bad I was going to just throw them away. Monday morning the squirrels were in the yard bright and early waiting to be fed. I said, "Heck it's corn and they love corn". I tossed it out the back door into the yard. It disappeared in a hurry. Now we have little squirrels in our back yard with their little jaws stuck shut and can't eat peanuts, etc. It's so pitiful I feel bad I threw that stuff out there. They trusted me because I always give them something good and they LOVE sweet stuff. I don't know what to do to help them.
