FREE FILE (Do not have income limit - yet – for 2010)
• Free File is the fast, easy,
and free way to file your federal income taxes
• If you earned $56,000 or less in 2008, you can use Free File at the IRS website
• prepare your taxes online beginning in mid-January 2010
With Free File, you can:
• Get a fast refund, often in 10 days or less with Direct Deposit.
• File your taxes any hour of the day or night.
• Benefit from Free File’s automatic checks for accuracy
• Receive a quick confirmation within 48 hours that your return was received.
• Know that your return is safe and secure
IRS Taxpayer Advocate Service

• The Taxpayer Advocate Service is an independent organization within the IRS that helps taxpayers resolve problems with the IRS, particularly repayment of back taxes and penalties.
IRS EITC Assistant
The IRS EITC Assistant is an online tool to help you find out if you are eligible for the EITC or Earned Income Tax Credit. In the search box on the IRS web site (www.irs.gov), enter “EITC Assistant” to find this tool.

• Education credits: search for form 8663
• Credit for child and dependent care, go to publication 970 or search for form 241
• First time homebuyer credit: search for form 5405
