The Hatcher and the Tubman families decide to spend their summer vacation together in Maine, not next door to each other, but in the same house, much to the disgust of Peter Hatcher and his arch-rival Sheila Tubman. Sheila and Peter are related at the end of the story because their grandparents, Muriel and Buzzy, marry each other. Peter's brother, Fudge, no longer plans to be a bird when he grows up, but instead a bird breeder, or as he mispronounces it, "bird breather", to which Sheila immediately corrects him by saying he cannot breathe for birds.
Don't tell Kitty, but it's time for her bath. And not the kind she likes to give herself, but a real bath. The kind she hates. The kind that leads to mayhem, destruction, and disaster. So gather your courage, dust off the your armor, sign your will, and join us on Tuesday, June 22 at 10 am in Marvin Auditorium. A cool art project will bubble to the surface, then we'll read about one bad cat, play some funny feline games, and meet some very good kitties who are visiting from Helping Hands Humane Society. Its a hilarious way to get 30 minutes of credit for summer reading, and 5 lucky kids will get to take home their very own bad kitty...or at least their very own copy of this seriously silly book.
Join us on Tuesday, June 15 from 10-11 am in Marvin Auditorium 101AB! Hear the beginning of the story and get 30 minutes of reading credit for summer reading while listening to Schooled by Gordon Korman.
