If you plan to travel to a region where English is not the primary language or will venture into communities where your language is rarely spoken, you may want to check out the library’s collection of phrase books, bilingual dictionaries, or instructional tapes/CDs.

Traveling around the world is one of the most enjoyable hobbies I have.  I've had many memorable adventures in Puerto Rico, Scotland, Spain, Paraguay, Canada, and various states across the U.S.  When I am lacking the funds or time to travel, I utilize the library's travel resources to provide me with a temporary escape.  The library has a wonderful DVD and video collection to browse through along with fascinating travel memoirs and guides.  But out of all the available books and shows, I find myself revisting one particular author and TV host over and over again... Anthony Bourdain.
