I like this basic overview—everyone uses technology different but it’s nice to have some common ground! Like most technologies, I spent a long time making fun of people who use twitter, and then when I discovered a way that twitter could make my life easier, I immediately created an account. I use twitter to post short text-only updates on the sidebar of the photo and video blog I write about my young daughter. I updated it exclusively from the iPhone app Echofon and I don’t follow anyone else’s twittering. This allows me to update my kid’s blog with cute little chatty comments at times when I might not be uploading pictures or writing more extensive posts. - I call it a “verbal snapshot” of her life. I love the functionality that using twitter adds to the blog I was already publishing!
