Need Help to Beat the Heat?

Operation Heat Relief is a program provided by the American Red Cross in Topeka that provides a new box fan to indivdiuals who meet eligibility guidelines. Essentially the poor, elderly, disabled, or chronically ill.

Fan Distribution usually begins about June 1. If you find yourself in need of heat relief or know someone who might be in need, these are the people to call! (785) 234-0568

Important: To be elibgble, a person cannot have received a fan in the past year unless the fan is broken and is brought in for replacement or recipient can show proof the fan was stolen (i.e., a police report). If you need help and received a fan last year, go ahead and contact the organization just be be sure!
