Check out “Wiggle Worms” (various artists) and anything by Jack Johnson (Kids love his soothing voice and funky rythms for some reason)Especially the “Curious George” Soundtrack!

Anything by Dan Zanes (although he has sold some songs for Wal-Mart spots).
His music is very “authentic” for lack of a better word, and not dumbed-down in any way. Best are Family Dance and Sea Music (my four year-old loves Strike The Bell - about a ship in a storm).

Fred - Thanks for the recommendations, I am going to check out some Dan Zanes to listen to with my daughter this weekend! I didn’t list it because the library doesn’t own it, but The Nields are a family folk group that have started releasing wonderful sing along albums—All Together Singing in the Kitchen and Rock All Day/Rock All Night are some of our favorites, as well as the short-but-catchy Songs for Amelia.
