 These links are a great place to start if you are looking for a legal form, information on a court case, access to Topeka ordinances, or any other type of legal information. Don't forget to check our catalog for additional books and videos. We have resources on our shelves and our staff is ready to help you find the answers to your legal questions.


FEDLAW
Contains links primarily to federal laws, rules and regulations, and court and agency decisions.  

FEDWORLD
FedWorld has links to federal agencies' directories, full-text reports, and other publications from the agencies which are often not otherwise available. 

FindLaw.com
FindLaw features 25 different areas of law, giving access to the full text of law reviews and other legal materials. FindLaw contains full-text Supreme Court Cases from 1893-present browsable by volume, year, and case name and much more. 

GovEngine.com
A very easy to use website whose goal is to provide "an educational awareness, and broadened understanding of online government accessibility, and to emphasize the communication and cooperation between all branches and levels of government with the public. 

Kansas Attorney General
Discover the information and services available through the State of Kansas Office of the Attorney General. 

Kansas Bar Association
From lawyer referrals to district court rules, this site has much to offer in legal research. 

Kansas Judicial Branch
Many important and informative links will inform students, lawyers, and the general public. Find links to legal forms, the Kansas Supreme Court Library,  and much more. 

Law Library of Congress Guide to Law Online
The Law Library's collection of legal materials is the largest and most comprehensive in the world, covering all of the approximately 260 existing nations and dependencies as well as many former nations and colonies. In addition to U.S. state and Federal materials, the Law Library houses an unparalleled collection of foreign codes, constitutions, official gazettes, law reports, treatises, serials, and international and comparative legal items, and laws from all historical periods-from ancient law to space law.  

LegalForms (access using your TSCPL library card)
Provides a wide selection of Kansas-specific (and multi-state) legal forms across the most popular legal areas. Includes real estate contracts, wills, pre-marital agreements, bankruptcy, divorce, landlord tenant and many others. Also included are a comprehensive attorney state directory and a dictionary of legal definitions explained in laymen's language.

National Sex Offender Public Registry
This Web site is provided as a public service by the U.S. Department of Justice. Using this Web site, interested members of the public have access to and may search participating state Web site public information regarding the presence or location of offenders, who, in most cases, have been convicted of sexually-violent offenses against adults and children and certain sexual contact and other crimes against victims who are minors. 

Shawnee County District Court Online
The Third Judicial District Court of Kansas is well represented through this excellent Web site. 

THOMAS - Legislative Information on the Internet
Thomas is the central site for federal legislative information. Bills can be accessed by key word or bill number. A menu includes such categories as Legislation, Congressional Record, and Committee Information.
