Expanding access to census records

image

One of the largest available online family history resources is teaming up with other organizations to make more ancestral records available to the public.

FamilySearch is a non-profit organization operating out of Salt Lake City, partnering with Ancestry.com to publish complete U.S. census records from 1790 to 1930.

Read more about the joint project to improve access to census records for genealogists here.

Researchers can access genealogical information at www.FamilySearch.org from any computer with Internet access.

The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library offers access to the resources on Ancestry.com from any of the computers within the library at Ancestry Library Edition (In-Library Use Only).

For more information on genealogy research, call Topeka Room Genealogy at 580-4510.
