I just discovered the wonderful Eat This, Not That book series by Men's Health Editor-in-chief David Zinczenko and Matt Goulding. These small square books feature full color glossy pages. Each 2-page spread features one page of "Eat This" recommendations and a contrasting "Not That" page of foods to avoid in a given situation. Themes include eating at Applebee's or Arby's, choosing chinese food or cereal, or just trying to make wise choices for you and your family. The pages of Eat This, Not That debunk the myths of restaurant menu entree names and food packaging labels, and make simple recommendations to help you and your family "swap" foods to lose weight, consume less fat and fewer empty calories, and avoid obesity.
Eat this, not that: thousands of simple food swaps that can save you 10,20, 30 pounds--or more!
Eat this, not that! supermarket survival guide: the no-diet weight loss solution (BRAND NEW title!!!)
Why I like these books:
My only complaint is that after I read one of the books, I was really hungry and craving all of the foods at once!
Have you tried the "Eat This, Not That" technique? Do you think this is an effective strategy for healthier living?
