Clicking the Sticks-Vintage Baby knits

image

Do you like to knit baby items? I do and I have found the most adorable knitting book for babies. Vintage Baby Knits by Kristen Rengren has 40 patterns that will bring back memories for many people. She has patterns from the 1920's to the 1950's with an amazing amount of information about each pattern. What is really nice is that Rengren has revised the patterns so that knitters like me can use modern yarn to make the knitted items.

Besides great directions, there is a color photo of each pattern as well as a diagram to show you how to knit each project. Rengren has included some wonderful baby sweaters in this collection but there are patterns for blankets, dresses, stuffed animals, as well as slippers and booties. I am not sure which pattern I would start with as they are all just sweet. So, if you are looking for some great vintage baby patterns to knit, check out this book at the library. And just keep clicking the sticks.
