Lotta winners!  Win-Win

image

New lottery tickets feature paintings of scenic byways by Stan Herd. The instant scratch tickets are one source of state revenue which promotes tourism. Four of the nine scenic byways are pictured on the tickets to increase awareness of the natural beauty found across the state according to Kansas artist, Stan Herd, who is best known for his earthworks or crop art. Stan visited the vistas to accurately capture the unique landscapes in his paintings. Each physiographic region offers varied terrain, wildlife, history and activities. Lottery executive director, Ed Van Petten, said the goal of featuring byways is to educate lottery players while encouraging them to travel for a firsthand look see. Lotta winners! Win-Win!

The promotion comes with a second chance. Non-winning tickets can be entered into a drawing on November 13 for one of Herd’s original nine byways paintings valued at $4,446. The paintings will tour the state. South Wind Gallery in Topeka will host the display on July 17 and 18. What a grand partnership of the Kansas Department of Transportation, Commerce and the Kansas Arts Commission with the Kansas Lottery to promote state attractions in an artistic and educational fashion while utilizing the talents and philanthropic efforts of a homegrown artist. Lotta winners! Win-win!

In the research/reference room at the Topeka Shawnee County Public Library, a 200 foot mural by Herd depicting hills, plains, rock formations, and vegetation reveals “Home On the Range” splendor. If your economically-challenged vacation is taking shape as weekend or day trips, consider the byways. Purchase a “Painted Byways” ticket to memorialize the trip. Remember the second chance option. Lotta’ winners. Win-win!

So if you purely support this then you should take the money but if your conception has dominate at all and you’re against it then you should believably eliminate them. But it’s still yours to come to conclusion.
