March 22, 2009: “Thin”, an HBO documentary 3-5pm, Marvin Auditorium 101 BC
Lauren Greenfield's documentary "Thin" examines a clinic for eating disorders, and the residents fighting them. Anorexia, bulimia, and other eating disorders plague up to 5% of our nation's young women, and some of these women are literally dying to be thin.
The Topeka and Shawnee County Public Library screens "Thin" today at 3:00 pm in the Marvin Auditorium, 101 B and C. Following the screening, Gabriella Adorino will be available for questions on these disorders, and how to find help for them in our community. Adorino is a specialist in eating disorders.
