From the Art is Ageless website:
"...Art is Ageless began in 1980 as a competition for residents and employees throughout the Presbyterian Manors system to appear in an annual calendar. Since then, the competition has grown to encompass preliminary judging and exhibits at the local level that welcome artists age 65 and older to compete, whether or not they live at a Presbyterian Manor. Winners in each category are photographed and sent to the corporate office for final judging for the annual calendar and cards. In addition, arts programs to benefit residents at all levels have provided artistic outlets and therapeutic programs in several Manor locations.
To our knowledge, this is the oldest program with exhibits and competition exclusively for mature artists sponsored by a not-for-profit retirement community or group of communities. Art is Ageless was nationally trademarked in 2007 by Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America. We allow use of the name, with permission to other communities outside of our service area with written request to Presbyterian Manors corporate marketing..."
