Who . . . are the Wilder Society members?

The Wilder Society recognizes individuals who have made planned and deferred gifts to The Library Foundation. The Edward and Mary Wilder Society is honored to have 125 members on its official registry. They represent a wide range of interests, ages and backgrounds.

Where . . . do Wilder Society members meet?

They don't have meetings . . . they have fun while attending events as VIP's at the Library! A popular event created especially for members and their invited guests twice each year is the Wilder Society Tea, where members enjoy entertaining programs, delicious refreshments, and the pleasure of socializing with others who also share a passion for the Library.

What . . . do Wilder Society gifts support in the Library?

Wilder Society members have made restricted and unrestricted gifts that support the Library's collections, programs, services, technology, and physical facilities. The Library has received many beautiful gifts of art from Wilder Society members, and these gifts may qualify for membership as well.

When . . . does a gift qualify for membership in the Wilder Society?

Membership is extended to those individuals who:

• Make a planned or deferred gift of assets in any amount.
• Commit to make an annual lifetime gift that is significant for you.

If you already have made provisions in your will or estate plan for a gift to the Library, The Library Foundation, or the Friends of the Library, please let us know so we may thank and recognize you by offering membership in the Wilder Society. You may choose to keep the amount private and you may remain anonymous.
