As part of our Adult Summer Reading Program our participants shared about the books they would recommend to other patrons. Maybe your next great read will be from one of their suggestions!
JUSTIN recommends I Am Not Myself These Days by Josh Purcell
My favorite thing about this book is…it is a very easy read that keeps the audience very excited and intrigued. I’d recommend this to other readers who like…Sellevision or Dry.
DAVID recommends The Kid Who Named Pluto by Marc McCutchen
My favorite thing about this book is… (left blank) I’d recommend this to other readers who like… to read about kids like themselves who did extraordinary things.
ANTONETTE recommends The 4 Day Diet by Dr. Ian Smith
My favorite thing about this book is…the encouragement and knowledge I received by reading it. It was very useful because I actually saw change when I followed it as suggested. I’m going to buy it. I’d recommend this to other readers who like…to learn healthier eating and exercies habits or behaviors for a better life.
SALLY recommends Relentless by Dean Koontz
My favorite thing about this book is…that it was typical Koontz. It was humorous and smart. The plot was constantly moving and everything tied neatly together at the end. I’d recommend this to other readers who like…humor mixed with fast action in a mystery thriller.
ANONYMOUS recommends On Fortune’s Wheel by Cynthia Voight
My favorite thing about this book is…(left blank) I’d recommend this to other readers who like…a little fantasy or another time, but the focus is on the characters and how they grow and rescue themselves.
The Library’s 2009 Adult Summer Reading program is over for this year, but be sure to check back next year for more summer reading excitement!
