Merry Mayhem

image

Racing through the city in a wig and a dress with the Empire’s troops hot on his heels was not Will’s idea of a fun eighteenth birthday. It had to be an obvious mistake that Will had been accused of treason. In his short life he’s only been an apprenticed actor with small roles and his greatest offense has probably been cheating at cards.

Just when it seems like he’s about to get caught he runs into a band of adventurers who help him escape. They have way too many weapons and Will is worried he might have been better off arrested for treason. Still alive he discovers that these adventurers are not a bunch of cutthroats, but they’re out to do some good even if it means risking their lives.

The cynical Will has no intention of risking anything, especially his life, but now he’s along for the ride with the adventurers bent on helping stop murderous horsemen from sacking small villages. Act of Will by A.J. Hartley is a fun medieval adventure set in an imaginary world where Will tries to find his way in the world, and unfortunately his only real skill is talking which hinders him as much as it helps. He may have evaded the empire, but can he survive good deeds?
