LIFE Magazine available on Google Books

Google Books has recently made available full issues of LIFE Magazine from its inception in 1936 to 1972. From the historic first issue featuring the famous cover photo by Margaret Bourke-White up to the end of 1972, you can read from full-color scanned images of every single page of hundreds of issues of LIFE Magazine. Perhaps more importantly, this is a great treasure trove of amazing photos and a chronicle of the middle of the 20th Century.
