King Arthur in the Wild West

Though the Arthurian Legends are hundreds of years old, James C. Work has recreated the west based on these wonderful stories. In the Keystone Ranch Series, Art Pendragon owns the Keystone Ranch with his wife Gwen. The first book in the series is Ride South to Purgatory. In this novel Pasque Pendragon must fight a duel with a stranger with the rules that each man may fire three shots at point blank range. The latest book, The Outcast of Spirit Ridge, is reintroducing the character, Grudj, from one of his earlier books Ride West to Dawn. Though the story is not from an Arthurian Legend, Grudj is based on a character from the legend, Owain and the Fountain. This is an imaginative series that takes the western story to a new level of enjoyment.
