The TV show was supposed to take place on a deserted island.  No one believed that the island was haunted or the legends about demonic creatures, but in the world of reality television that really didn’t  matter- just staying on the island. The cast was carefully chosen to include the usual types like the loner, Matthew, Becka, the girl next door, the flirtatious Pauline and of course the arrogant Stefan, who will stop at nothing to win. Alliances are being formed and the game is being played like any other season, but things are about to change.

A hurricane is on course for the island, so the crew is pared down to only a few and communication from the island will not be possible. Isolation will be complete, and the threat of the storm seems like the greatest danger, but soon the nightmarish stories about the island are about to come true. The cast and crew begin to disappear, and now all they want is to get off the island. The Castaways by Brian Keene isn’t about winning a million dollars, but staying alive.
