Beautiful Lies by Lisa Unger
Ridley Jones finds her 15 minutes of fame after saving a child from being hit by a van. She lands on the front of the newspaper and becomes an instant celebrity. With fame comes a price. She is warned that crazy people may try to befriend her and make claims that are not true. The notes she begins to receive from one man, however, cause questions to arise in her mind. If what he says is true, her life has been a lie. The people that surround Ridley, including her father, her drug-addict brother, her ex-fiance, and the handsome man that moves into the apartment upstairs, add to the questions in Ridley’s life. Is the life she has led a lie, or is the man behind the notes full of lies? This is an excellent novel that will keep you wondering about the truth of Ridley’s life.
