Master the Art of Reading @ your library - Adult Reading Log

Download and print your Master the Art of Reading @ your library form for adults. Forms are also available in the library and on the bookmobiles. Summer reading programs for children and teens are available.

Every participant will be awarded a prize after completing both the reading log and the challenge sections. In the reading log, list 5 books you’ve read this summer and write a recommendation of one title. For the challenges, you must complete at least one option from each of the three challenges, including Master the Art of Creativity, Master the Art of Reading, and Master the Art of Communication. Only one entry accepted and one prize awarded per person. Bring your Reading log to the library or any bookmobile to collect your rewards. For more information, call the librarians at 785-580-4540.

Waxing Poetic: Philip Hershberger Encaustic Paintings
Hershberger’s paintings evoke a sense of space and of objects coming in and out of that space through time. Using wax encaustic (mixing pigment with wax), Hershberger paints scenes that are more about memory and possibility than about reality.
