I'm new to this whole iPhone thing, and want to take a moment to brag about how smart Smartphones like this are.

The Digital Bookmobile came to Topeka June 27, and after touring it, it became clear that I would soon become a downloadable book fanatic.

New media has always excited me, and the idea of putting in my earbuds and going for a walk with my new favorite book excited me even more. And just so you know, you can have this same experience with your MP3 player.

 

Thank goodness the Digital Bookmobile tours around the country raising awareness of 24/7 access to eBooks, audiobooks, music and videos or else I may have never known about this service, which is available through www.tscpl.org/audiobooks.

We've recently revamped our audiobooks page so that it's easier than ever to navigate and understand. We encourage you to check it out and tap into the NetLibrary and OverDrive services that will connect you to hundreds of digital titles. We also have a download station at the Reference Desk in the library for your convenience.

Not everyone is going to have the same experience I did and fall head over heels for downloadable library resources, but I encourage you to find euphoria in a book regardless of its format. A good title is a good title regardless of format, after all.
