Welcome to the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library
Lissa Staley, Librarian at the Topeka & Shawnee County Public Library, has been recognized as a Woman of Excellence at the 20th annual YWCA Leadership Luncheon. Thirty-six women who have demonstrated outstanding leadership, dedication, commitment and excellence at work and in our community were nominated. Staley was selected as the winner in the Operations division. She works as a Public Services Librarian and creates library programs like the popular Trivia Night. She is also tech-savvy, posting to the Digital Library Branch web site and creating short videos that tell the stories of the library. As a library professional, Staley is locally, regionally and nationally-recognized as a conference presenter. But the part of her job she values most is helping her customers find the information they need.
